    Recap:
This show is in the red. After 2+ years of work, the interest from Attendees, Stores, Exhibitors, Media, and Sponsors was dismal. And without working capital from them all, there was no money for TV, Radio, and Newspaper advertising.  So Gamer Expo #2(and the other shows listed above) depend on YOU!
From those that said anything, it was mostly a complaint about having the show only a few months after announcing(or conflicting with another show on that date I had not found in searching).  I started this in 2006!  I went to stores, I posted notes where I could find.  I talked about it when I could.  I did reseach to find anyplace I could that showed interest in older console and computer gaming(chats, vendors, news groups).  Slim pickings!  Atari is at the top of user interest in the US!?!?!  And while people said it was a great idea, they'd love to come, well, they didn't get involved, they didn't come.  In May, I had to make a choice, hope that by setting a date and place people would believe the show was really happening, or drop it all once and for all(and move on to other things). This meant I had to spend money on something that was a big maybe.  I decided I could do this, ONCE! And hope for the best.  By the end of July, It was clear the interest was NOT there but I had spent the money, so moved to a smaller room so I could stop the cash hemmorage.  Since the money was spent, I HAD to have the show to at least partially justify the expense.

    * Had this show broken even, there would be a good possibility of another show.  It didn't.  I WILL NOT put up money for another show.  It must be paid for in advance(along with a huge chunk of this shows expenses). When the $(dollar) signs above are mostly green and the asterisks mostly red in at least one entry, I will plan another show.

    * Had this show made some profit, there WOULD be another show.  It didn't. See above.

    * Had this show been the success I had wanted, and made the profit I wanted, then the shows listed above would get started.  It didn't.  This is a clear indication of the level of interest in the region for classic console computer gaming etc. from Atari, Apple, Commodore, MAME, etc. users, just isn't there anymore.  Which means I have to move on to other things that provide income, and that will NOT leave much time for classic/retro console/computing gaming/funstuff.  Twenty eight years in this and it looks like long since time to part ways. Will this change?  Will there be future shows?  Its up to YOU!

That being said, THANK YOU VERY MUCH...David M, Sandi M, Sherry L, Russ from Goodwill Computer Museum, Austin Chronicle, and News 8. Pictures from the show endeavour are at morethangames.a8maestro.com.
